The Danish coach has found a new home not long after departing SAW.

BERRY helped SAW make a run to the semi-finals of IEM Cologne 2024

9INE have announced that Danny "⁠BERRY⁠" Krüger has joined the team as their head coach. The Dane departed SAW in October due to "differing viewpoints regarding methodology and perspectives for the team."

BERRY parts ways with SAW

34-year-old BERRY arrives in 9INE after a short but fruitful three-month stint with SAW. The 34-year-old Dane, despite language barriers, helped SAW achieve an underdog run to top-four at IEM Cologne 2024, and soon after guided the team to Perfect World Shanghai Europe RMR qualification in comfortable fashion, all of which resulted in the team rising to the organization's peak ranking of No. 9 in the world.

As for the organization BERRY is joining, 9INE put themselves on the map in 2023 as their Polish lineup featuring Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz rocketed up the world rankings amidst consistent success online. That team struggled to translate their form into LAN events against tier-one sides, and the roster broke up when the core was transferred to ENCE.

After experimenting with various Polish constellations early in 2024 without success, 9INE brought onboard a European roster featuring the likes of Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali, Mateusz "⁠mantuu⁠" Wilczewski and Kévin "⁠misutaaa⁠" Rabier.

The lineup toiled away in Europe's online scene for the latter half of the year, garnering modest results at best, and parted ways with their coach and benched two players towards the end of the year, bringing in Jonatan "⁠bobeksde⁠" Persson and Josef "⁠faveN⁠" Baumann.

There are a many central european teams/players that are blacklisted by bookies Matchfixing in CS is not really kept in check by anyone that is why its very easy to do, ESIC is the only party that does any sort of investigations from time to time but they are a joke and nobody in the community has any respect for their work for a reason, they are absolutely horrible at what they do although not sure if they even operate anymore but you can take a good guess who they also are partnered with... Betting sites.. Matchfixing is not as obvious nowadays compared to how IBuyPowers matchfix was for example and its very easy to hide when done properly, also a lot of people don't actually watch those games so many are just clueless on the whole stuff but many know while can't really do anything about it either Issue is that you also can't blindly ban anyone hence why people don't get banned for it, even if you take a look at the games, they alone don't really give enough to just straight up ban them and as time goes on, they have less and less on them, so unless someone would snitch all the behind the scenes stuff, there isn't much to do and they can freely do it just last year Akuma squad and some other guys were banned for matchfixing and even that took a good while to be done hltv.org/news/37629/esic-suspends-ukrain.. hltv.org/news/37671/former-project-x-and.. Its usually kept in smaller circles so they its also pretty much impossible to leak to public, but for example Nexus & 500 are one of the most known for taking part in that but again, you would need actually text document stuff etc for any bannable evidence so they never get banned hltv.org/news/38751/gokushima-receives-t.. also just another one pretty recently banned In 2021 Australia got also a good amount of people banned hltv.org/news/31037/esic-issues-35-bans-..
