Complexity part ways with floppy

The North American anchor is free to sign for another organization after nearly a month on the bench.

Complexity have terminated Ricky "⁠floppy⁠" Kemery's contract by mutual agreement, the North American organization announced on Wednesday. The news comes less than a month after the 25-year-old was moved to the bench.

floppy spent nearly three years on Complexity following the organization's signing of the Extra Salt core plus Michael "⁠Grim⁠" Wince and Paytyn "⁠junior⁠" Johnson in January 2022.

While under Complexity, he attended the Majors in Antwerp, Paris, Copenhagen and Shanghai, only missing the event in Rio de Janeiro after the team finished outside the qualification zone in the Americas RMR.

In the summer of 2024, floppy helped Complexity win ESL Challenger Jönköping, the sole LAN trophy of his long tenure with the organization. It was also one of the few bright spots of an otherwise disappointing year for the team, who were unable to replicate the blistering form from the start of CS2, when they reached the IEM Sydney 2023 final and broke into the top five in the world rankings.

Complexity ended the 2024 season in disappointing fashion after going out of the Shanghai Major in the Opening Stage following losses to FlyQuest, Passion UA and BIG. Besides benching floppy, the organization also released assistant coach James "⁠JamezIRL⁠" Macaulay, who had been working with the team since July 2023.

Complexity have yet to sign a replacement for floppy, who turned 25 on Tuesday. They are expected to be in the market for a second signing as Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski is reportedly in advanced talks with FaZe.
