Monte return to English communication, and hand the captaincy to 20-year-old Brit Gizmy.

Academy graduate Gizmy will take over as in-game leader

Monte have finalized their 2025 roster by promoting Jack "⁠Gizmy⁠" von Spreckelsen and Gytis "⁠ryu⁠" Glušauskas from the Monte Gen project.

The duo will replace Polish pair Szymon "⁠kRaSnaL⁠" Mrozek and Kamil "⁠KEi⁠" Pietkun, ending the team's flirtation with Polish communication.

Coach Ivan "⁠AiyvaN⁠" Semenets will also step up from the academy in place of Piotr "⁠nawrot⁠" Nawrocki, while Gizmy will take over in-game leadership from Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz to return the team to a more traditional structure.

The academy pair have played for the main team before, after the departures of Alexander "⁠br0⁠" Bro and Viktor "⁠sdy⁠" Orudzhev, where they made playoffs at ESL Pro League Season 19.

Plans for the new phase of Monte Gen are also underway, with Director of Esports Denys "Dance" Yashniev tweeting to confirm the academy will be renewed.

"Everyone in Monte Gen project outgrew academy level," Dance said. "Therefore, we put this project on hold until we find the new coach and we are planning to keep scouting young talents in the future."

ryu had 1.18 rating since joining the academy he is a good prospect idk about gizmy tho, they could just get a proper igl for him and let hades play full awp

Gizmy is an igl, he was in their academy and has played for the main team as well. In Monte he is a known quantity and there must be good reasons as to why they decided to go with him. No reason to gamble here with another IGL they know nothing about

This is also the second time they've taken these exact two players from the Academy just to release them a month or two later back to the academy. I suppose it's smart in a way though, no buyouts necessary temporarily filling the spots whilst it's difficult to get new players with not being able to compete with the bigger teams poaching all of the better ones due to end of season. Let's hope they do better this time :')

The main problem of Monte were : hades wasn't putting the numbers The team structure was mid and disfunctional cause hades wasn't made to be an IGL They just 322'd every important match, yes even at ESLC Katowice

main problem were : non existent ct side choking huge leads bad mental having more than 2 polish players on a team (fixed)

I'd say Perfecto is an exception, he lived in Ukraine for quite a while and left Russia recently.

maybe, but if he really joined monte then that would be his last team ever, no way any cis team would take him after that, and I doubt he'd show stellar performance to make EU teams interested. as of now, there are a lot of roster moves in CIS, AMKAL for example is completely rebuilding their roster, so maybe perfecto could land there

hades is solid awp when he is not IGL, Demqq is beast and also dycha playing consident since he joined monte ryu - strong tier2 player right now, big potential we'll see how gizmy will lead the team, he can also shoot well
