Vitality move Spinx to inactive roster

After over two years with Vitality, Spinx is removed from the active roster.

Spinx won BLAST.tv Paris Major with Vitality

Vitality have announced that they have moved Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi to the inactive roster, ending the Israeli's 878-day stint on the starting lineup. The move presumably comes in anticipation of the addition of Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool.

Spinx represented Vitality for two-and-a-half years, winning seven notable trophies including a Major title. He joined mid-way through 2022 and immediately hit the ground running, winning ESL Pro League S16 in his first Big Event outing.

After some individual struggles towards the back end of 2022, Spinx entered 2023 in revitalized form, helping Vitality win their first Major trophy, at BLAST.tv Paris Major, and a collection of further titles as they were eventually named the team of 2023. He was named the 5th-best player of 2023 for his contributions to Vitality's excellent year.

XTQZZZ confirms Spinx asked to explore his options after BLAST Spring Final

Results waned for Vitality in 2024, and Spinx asked the organization to explore his options in the summer player break. No move materialized in that time, and although Vitality were unable to recapture the heights of 2023, they did go on to win IEM Cologne in the second half of the year.

With this change, Vitality are now:

Hooxi is downgrade for apEX. Hooxi was heard to have emotional problems which was said to be confirmed from G2 members, Swani and indirectly from NiKo during EWC interview

eh not really, HooXi did just fine on a G2 that had less firepower than current Vitality, and correct me if i’m wrong, i’m pretty sure HooXi won more trophies as an IGL than apEX, no?. plus he’s not a constantly malding toxic ass sore.

You must be kidding me, i don't think it had less firepower than current Vitality you gotta be kidding me they had jks, NiKo, m0nesy, Hunter. Hunter was top 20 in 2023, m0nesy was top 5, NiKo top 5. It was the same firepower maybe higher since Vitality had their peak year that year and they have m0nesy and superconsistent NiKo at all times. This year Hooxi obv had only 2 top 20 players at his disposal but obv the trust in G2 seemed to not be the same in his abilities. Also Vitality under apEX literally Has 60-70% win rate on T side highest entire year, 3rd CT side. They just choked the tournaments not that they were completely bad. When they gathered mental fortitude and right before Spinx wanted to leave they said they want Cologne and they won it. They just had bad mentality.

jks isnt that good of a player, he’s definitely dependable and is a solid rock for his anchoring roles and clutch capabilities, but he’s really not a star player like you make it seem, same goes to huNter, on a good day, he can drop a 1.10+ rating and sometimes carry, but compared to flameZ, hes wayyy worse than him. mezii and jks are almost the same mechanically but for fulfilling anchor roles i would choose jks over him. and i think ZywOo and Spinx is almost the same as NiKo and m0NESY. also just like you said, Vitas mental game is HORRENDOUS, largely due to maldpEX constantly getting tilted, and HooXi is far calmer and less toxic than him so i think it’s fair to say he can replace apEX.

flamez came late in 2023 to Vitality and he was decent. They had dupreeh and Magisk before. Spinx is nowhere near to NiKo xd, it's pretty high floor and ZywOo has medium-low advantage compared to m0nesy

ok so even if i say 2023 G2 and current Vita had the same firepower why couldn’t Vita achieve what G2 did last year? with 3 top 20 players and most likely the number 1 player of the year on the team, Vita has won zero trophies except Cologne, compared to that, a FaZe clan who had almost the same if not worse individuals managed to get 3 2nd place finishes in both majors and kato, beating Vita in both of those majors and has won a trophy, to me that sounds like FaZe over performing Vita. apEX is incapable of fully using individuals to their max and is a massive choker. compared to him, i would rather choose HooXi who is actually capable of setting his team up to their max and isnt a total ass sore. other IGLs i would also choose to replace apEX is siuhy and kyxsan, honestly it’s also a great idea to just replace XTQZZZ and bring in an actual competent coach like sAw or ash to keep apEXs tilting shenanigans in check and make him shut up. or you could just remove both apEX and XTQZZZ and get a better coach/IGL duo like siuhy/Sycrone.

ZywOo wont have n1 player itw, they achieved the same tbf exc Katowice with worse ranked players Hunter in 23 was #13 just like Spinx this year. FlameZ was #7 NiKo was #2, M0nesy was #4 and this year ZywOo can either be #2 or #3. Its also visible by eye that many of the tournaments they lost seemed to be off mentality. Like ESL Pro League choke vs EF. Their Katowice run beaten by Polish ENCE honeymoon they didnt fight after that a lot. Their only impressive run was choked EPL with ZywOo having 1.7-1.8 before finals ending 1.5 rating and most importantly the way they played they seemed to just not connect the way they did with Magisk. Spinx became heavier as a lurk rather than being able to take space just as Magisk does his half-lurking on otherside of map

Not worst move. He didnt want to be there anymore and he kinda forced Vitality to try make a change not to mention rumours which circulated on KRL stream by some french caster saying that even ZywOo wasnt happy with this Spinx situation
