Falcons, GamerLegion among teams to qualify for IEM Dallas

3DMAX and BC.GAME also claimed their spots on Monday.

NiKo lead Falcons' campaign with a 1.47 rating

The first day of the IEM Dallas European closed qualifier has come to an end with Falcons, BC.Game, 3DMAX, and GamerLegion securing their spots at the American event.

Just one more spot remains up for grabs in Europe and is set to go to the winner of the lower bracket, while the Asian, South American, and North American qualifiers are also set to award one spot each.

Falcons were the first team to qualify after winning their first two games. Their opening match came against TNL, against whom Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and company lost the first map but came back to win the series 2-1, with the Bosnian rifler putting up a 1.32 rating.

Their qualification match against BetBoom was a much smoother victory, as two 13-2 maps netted Falcons an IEM Dallas spot.

The new-look BC.Game were the next to lock in their spot. Nemanja "nexa" Isaković's troops, who started their journey in the open qualifiers, first beat BIG to set up a qualification clash against Astralis.

Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad starred in their match against the Danes and helped BC.Game secure a 2-0 victory and a spot at IEM Dallas after an overtime affair on Inferno.

3DMAX also qualified on the first day to make their debut event with Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro a successful one. The French squad dispatched NEVERMORE and HEROIC to lock in their spot in Dallas, with their new addition averaging a 1.17 rating, the second highest in the team.

The final team to secure a spot via the upper-bracket final was GamerLegion, who first had to battle against Hesta in a three-map series, which prompted Erik "ztr" Gustafsson to post a sassy post on X.

GamerLegion then beat Metizport in another long three-map series to secure their spot at IEM Dallas and cast the Swedes to the cut-throat lower bracket.

Elsewhere in the bracket, OG are the surprising elimination on day one after losses to Astralis and BIG. TNL, NEVERMORE, and Nexus are also out of contention.

The results leave eight teams fighting for just one remaining spot. HEROIC and Astralis are the two highest-ranked teams left in contention and are, therefore, favorites to clinch a spot.

The next lower-bracket matchups look as follows:

Then you can probably deduce they declined? Or just go the event page and click on second of two in total news about this event and read that directly from the article?
