MOUZ breeze past Liquid to make EPL playoffs

Twistzz's troops have one more chance to make the playoffs.

MOUZ became the next team to qualify for the ESL Pro League S21 playoffs after a 2-0 win over Liquid (Ancient 13-8, Nuke 13-4).

The victory caps off a solid group-stage campaign for the PGL Cluj-Napoca champions. The Ludvig "⁠Brollan⁠" Brolin-led side couldn't get the best of Vitality on Sunday, but wins against FURIA, Falcons, and Liquid proved to be enough for a comfortable path to the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Liquid fall to the 2-2 pool alongside GamerLegion and 3DMAX after the loss, with three more sides set to join them for Tuesday's do-or-die games.

Liquid went for the Ancient pick against MOUZ and put together a strong 7-5 offensive half. Dorian "⁠xertioN⁠" Berman began to dominate proceedings once the sides switched, however, with his 2.61-rated T-side performance proving more than enough for a 13-8 MOUZ victory.

Nuke was up next, and Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi opened the action by capitalizing on Liquid's overeagerness to win a 1vs3 in the pistol round. That gave MOUZ a platform for another dominant T side (8-4), which they duly converted into a straightforward 13-4 victory.
