dupreeh on Falcons: "It was a very big mess that ended up being uncontrollable"
"If I wouldn't have been benched, I would have hit some kind of a wall," the Dane added.
Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen joined the HLTV Confirmed podcast as a guest on Wednesday and spoke about his recent experience in Falcons, his time as an analyst, and how he is looking at his future in Counter-Strike.
The show began with the Dane answering several questions about his eight-month stint in the Saudi organization, which ended after the team missed out on an appearance at the Perfect World Shanghai Major.
"When the Major ended, I just didn't enjoy it. I couldn't see myself doing this [due to] the whole atmosphere in the team and the amount of hours we put in and kept going nowhere, alongside the constant hate from the outside."
"When I joined Falcons, I got an excitement about coming back into the scene and playing the events that I was used to playing, it was like I was reborn. I had some really good individual moments at the beginning of the team, but the more we got into the whole atmosphere of the team and the results, it kept taking the breath out of me."

"In the end, my mind couldn't handle it anymore. If I wouldn't have been benched, I would have hit some kind of a wall, so it was tough, but very necessary for me in my life," dupreeh admitted while stating that his Falcons contract is set to end "soon."
Despite the tough end of his Falcons stint, the Dane shared that everyone in the team gave it everything they had to make it work, but that it simply wasn't meant to be. "It was fundamentally very hard for us to adapt, and we didn't have that superstar that zonic kept talking about. It's hard to pick yourself up after hitting rock bottom and not think about why we left our previous teams."
"We put all the effort into making it work with what we had, it was most likely inevitable that there were going to be changes. It was a very big mess in many different ways, that just ended up being uncontrollable."

dupreeh also spoke about the Hail-Mary acquisition of Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, which failed to revitalize the squad and help them secure a Major spot. "When we got s1mple I was like 'Maybe this is gonna bring something to the table,' but it didn't really solve any of our issues," he said.
"It's always interesting to play alongside one of the rivals that you've been going up against for so long, and I can check off s1mple, ZywOo, and device from my teammate list."
"It was interesting, to say the least," he said about playing alongside s1mple. "There's no doubt he's really talented in how he sees the game. It's not the same s1mple, but it was a nice time to a certain degree.
It was difficult to play with him because he also has his expectations, he wanted to show he is capable of coming back and playing at a top level. It was an attempt to spark something in the team, but I don't think that actually happened."

The conversation then transitioned to dupreeh's future in Counter-Strike, with the Dane giving an honest outlook about his wishes to return to the server.
"Both yes and no," he said when asked if he wants to go back to playing. "Unfortunately, there are too many cons right now with the addition of my second kid, and also the feelings that I've had the last couple of months since I was benched and had time to live life.
"On the other hand, I miss competing and working with the team. When the big games are on stage, you get this feeling 'I wish it was me.' I had my fair share of trophies, but returning to the server would be a possibility if the right offer came, but I don't think I'm lucrative enough right now to be given that kind of offer."
He also added that the analyst work he did at BLAST Bounty was an enjoyable experience, and that it would be something he would consider in the future. "It was interesting, a different approach to what I've been used to. It's something I wanted to try out for fun with my current situation. It was nice that people seemed to have enjoyed it, so it was nice to do something that people enjoyed for my mental."
dupreeh ended the segment by sharing his plans for the future, saying that he intends to take things slowly and balance his life before taking his next step. "I've not made a decision about anything, and I've encouraged myself to not stress about it."
