The Brazilian organization is set to make its second change in 2025.

kauez spent a year and a half on the active roster

paiN are set to remove Kaue "⁠kauez⁠" Kaschuk from their active roster and replace him with academy player Iago "⁠deemO⁠" Henrique on a trial basis, according to a report by Dust2.com.br.

The news comes after an inconsistent period of results for the Brazilian team. They began the season by qualifying for the LAN portion of BLAST Bounty and made the playoffs at PGL Cluj-Napoca, but suffered an early exit at the IEM Katowice Play-In and, most recently, ESL Pro League S21.

kauez had a rough time in Sweden and averaged a 0.89 rating across both stages. That was still higher than his 0.87 average during 2025, however, which puts him 0.08 behind his closest teammate.

Coming in to replace the 21-year-old on a trial basis is paiN Academy player deemO. The 17-year-old, who also trialed for RED Canids earlier in the season, according to Dust2.com.br, spent nine months in paiN's academy outfit and averaged a 1.01 rating across 53 maps of play.

If this move comes to fruition, paiN would be:

Probably won't be a crazy addition but gets the kid some experience. Likely will get a sticker in the game within months of getting into a proper team. What an airlift.

I would say this is a downgrade, but rather than getting "robbed" by FURIA, this is a better choice, to be honest. I’m not sure if there is an available Brazilian/South American player who fits kauez's role.

I think these 17 year olds need more time in the oven, they ain't no donk or monesy, they aren't quite cut out for the t1 level yet, hard to see pain being any better with two instead of one of them.
