ADRON will continue to play with the team as a stand-in after a faulty logic caused the VRS to list an incomplete Nexus core for two months.

Laurențiu "⁠lauNX⁠" Țârlea has been added to Nexus' roster, returning to the organization he represented for a year in 2021-2022, the Romanian side announced on Monday.

The 19-year-old, who previously plied his trade in a brief Revenant stint, has taken Roberto "⁠ADRON⁠" Paun's place on the roster.

ADRON will continue to play with the team as a stand-in, however, as lauNX is unable to join the team for their ongoing tournaments due to a situation the organization described as an "error on their VRS lineup."

This is because Valve's ranking mechanism listed an outdated Nexus core for the first two months of the year. One of their core players, Cosmin "⁠ragga⁠" Teodorescu, sat out the team's last match of 2024, and the stand-in, Gabriel-Cosmin "⁠zewts⁠" Letcanu, was included on the VRS instead of ragga.

Nexus then made a player change at the beginning of January, replacing Daniel-Cătălin "⁠Ciocardau⁠" Purice with Alexandru "⁠s0und⁠" Ștefan, but had no way of updating the lineup until February after a CCT event they were invited to in January had its ranked status pulled.

Because ADRON, Cătălin-Ionuț "⁠BTN⁠" Stănescu and Adrian "⁠XELLOW⁠" Guță formed the three-man core according to the VRS, Nexus cannot play any tournaments they've been invited to based on the January or February invitation rankings without one of those three players.

March 3 is the first relevant VRS that once again features ragga as well as new addition s0und, which will make the PGL Astana Europe closed qualifier the first tournament Nexus will be able to play with lauNX.

LaunX carried Sprout to a Major and was the best player on Nexus for a year before his transfer, Was good in Falcons and has been trapped for the past 6 months in contract jail with Revenant and was not getting payed all these months while not being allowed to look for other teams also

Everyone who is clowning on Nexus and lauNX do not understand what actually happened behind the scenes, and how this actually is the best thing to happen to him this year. lauNX did not join any international team not because he did not want to - but because he has been stuck in a contract with the Revenant organisation since september, but also since then was not getting paid at all by them, while not allowed to look for any other options - basically being in contract jail. lauNX should owe Nexus big time if they actually spent the 6 figure buyout price from Revenant to relieve him of that contract jail. Please don't clown on them - I personally am very happy that lau is playing again because he couldn't really say when his contract with Revenant ended, but it was likely that it would have lasted until the end of 2025. Nexus is now basically the only reason lau can play again, and they should be praised for this gesture. Regards.

Launx explained in a livestream a month ago that the revenant contract is soon to be finished, im guessing it has actually finished by now because BTN also said today that it was very unexpected for LauNX to come to Nexus, it was all done on the spot and they alr have 1 pracc in. Nexus is looking to get enough VRS points for major so I'm hoping for the best in the next tourneys. I really hope something good can be made with this change as I've been watching Nexus since 2017 and I actually want them to put their name in the tier 2 scene, atleast for now. 😊

If you think lauNX is washed, just because he has been trapped in a contract jail for a while and can’t playing for other teams.. that means you’re delusional. I would to see how you feel if you were in his situation to not being paid and couldn’t have more opportunities to grind because of that.
