Brollan on broadcast: "I actually forgot we lost 13-0. We said after map one, let's reset as much as possible, we know our Mirage is really good. I think it might have been more frustrating their side to lose that close. Closing down Dust2 as well.
"But the fourth and fifth map was just... the fourth map we were a bit disconnected but the fifth map I was not ready for it, and I am so disappointed about it, in myself."
On taking that responsibility: "I just want to be a better leader for everyone. It's been some tough weeks, I let the boys down basically. I'm really disappointed about myself. It sucks."
On positives: "I'm really proud of the team. It's been an exhausting period, time to go home a few days, and then develop our playbook because we haven't practiced that much."
Here's some tidbits from Robin "ropz" Kool's interview on the BLAST broadcast desk.
"On making mistakes under apEX:** "What's really good about apEX is he takes it personally. You can feel it. It elevates his calling style, he really wants to win every round. I've never seen a guy fight for every round as hard as he does.
When we lose a bad round he's mad about it. That's something I get to learn about, but it helps the team to remove all the mistakes and that's the one thing Dan really cares about."
On peaking too soon: "I'm confident we can overcome it, unlike in FaZe there's a big support staff with Vitality. There's big management taking care of small things. It's something we talked about: Yes, we are peaking a bit early if you want to win the Major, but who's going to say no?"
XTQZZZ on broadcast: "Im really proud of my players and my staff. It was a long month, we're fucking exhausted, but we wanted to prove we can win again. Three tournaments in a row, good start to the year, now we have the next step with the Austin Major."
apEX: "Props to them for Dust2 and Mirage, but the other three we dominated. We grinded as much as we could, insane players, insane staff, without [performance coach] Jack and [analyst] MaT we would not be here."
