The young majority-Danish roster is to be coached by ex-ENCE player doto.

doto will offer some experience from the coach position

HEROIC have announced the formation of HEROIC Academy, picking up a Danish core to be coached by Joonas "⁠doto⁠" Forss.

doto is the most recognizable name attached to the project, the Finn having been part of the ENCE roster that broke out internationally late in 2021, coming second at IEM Fall 2021 and making the Legends Stage of PGL Major Stockholm. He retired from play to turn to coaching late in 2024.

The core of the roster is made up players who formerly competed together as XI and Sashi Academy from 2023 onwards, Bertil "⁠Dengzoe⁠" Dengsø Vest Hansen, Andreas "⁠anber⁠" Brandt and Rasmus "⁠Scr0b⁠" Poulsen.

The trio have largely competed in lesser online competitions and open qualifiers throughout their careers thus far, as well as Danish regional events, like POWER Ligaen and Gamebox Festival.

The lineup is rounded out by Vladyslav "⁠St0m4k⁠" Lykhoshva and David "⁠fnl⁠" Mușuroiu. The former only has a handful of HLTV-recorded maps to his name, garnered in the lower tiers of online competition, whilst the latter has spent the majority of his career thus far on academy rosters NAVI Junior and Monte Gen.

its like 1 good player they need to sell for the academy to make profit. a GL, OG or Big just need to change a player, then its a good profit. Ask Mouz

I mean if their scouting is any good you can make decent money off trades or promote players. So probably not the biggest waste/risk.

International teams that are not called Vitality or Faze need to have academy rosters so that when their players get poached they have short term solutions and might develop even more talent for the long term.

in modern day Denmark, kids often gets names from their mothers and fathers side, so names becomes fairly long. I got 2 sur names and 2 last names.

1. That is Rating 1.0, the actual Rating 2.1 stats are: 1.13, 1.05, 1.10, 0.90 & 0.89 2. The purpose of an academy team is not to get the best players, its to develop talent that the coach deem to have high potential and that fits with the rest of the team.
