Aurora bench roster

Patsi and company recently failed to make the final push for a spot at the BLAST.tv Austin Major Regional Qualifiers.

Aurora's entire Counter-Strike roster has been placed on the bench, the Russian organization has announced.

The organization did not explain the decision, but the move comes after the team failed to earn enough points on the Valve Regional Standings to receive an invite to the BLAST.tv Austin Major European qualifier.

The Russian side put itself in contention for a spot after winning Galaxy Battle STARTER late last month, but then failed to make the final push in the last-minute BetBoom LanDaLan 2 closed qualifier with two straight losses, missing out on the MRQ by six spots.

It's unclear whether the roster will be sticking together moving forward, but given their recent success and current standing as #33 on the European VRS, it's likely that at least the core of the roster will remain intact.

Evgeny "⁠Norwi⁠" Ermolin and Aleksandr "⁠KENSI⁠" Gurkin are the two longest-standing members, having played under the Aurora tag for over two years. The current core was formed late last year with the arrival of Timur "⁠clax⁠" Sabirov, while Gleb "⁠gr1ks⁠" Gazin and Robert "⁠Patsi⁠" Isyanov go on the bench after just three months with the organization.
