Virtus.pro send Astralis packing in Bucharest
After securing the bronze in Cluj-Napoca, the Danes couldn't make it out of the Swiss stage in the Romanian capital.

Virtus.pro are the sixth team through to the playoffs of PGL Bucharest thanks to a quick 2-0 victory over Astralis (13-10 on Dust2 and 13-6 on Train).
It's the first playoff appearance for the Russian outfit since IEM Katowice. Denis "electroNic" Sharipov's troops had a few bumps in the road, but they managed to come through the Swiss stage in the end after taking down three top-15 teams in Liquid, FURIA and Astralis.
Virtus.pro enjoyed a strong start to the series and romped to a 9-3 lead on the T side of Dust2 in a one-sided first half that saw Victor "Staehr" Staehr, Casper "cadiaN" Møller and Martin "stavn" Lund put up a combined eight frags.
The tide turned in the second half as Astralis came out firing and equalised the game at 10-10, but Virtus.pro tightened up in the final stages of the game to secure their map pick.
Astralis pinned their hopes on a Train pick, but the move failed to bear fruit. They were limited to just four rounds on the offense and just couldn't find their footing on the CT side as VP quickly put the game to bed, with Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev leading the charge on the T side with a 144 ADR.
Astralis turn their attention to the MRQ
It's the end of the road for Astralis, who started out brightly with a 2-1 victory over FaZe but couldn't reach the same level in their other game and were even upset by No-30 ranked Betclic.

The Danish team looked uninspired on their map pick, where an 8-4 deficit left them with a mountain to climb in the second half. After taking down FaZe on Train earlier in the tournament, Astralis simply fell flat today, their T side too predictable even against a team who had often struggled on this map.
Astralis will have no time to lick their wounds as they will return to action in just four days in the European MRQ, a season-defining tournament for the Danish side.
