G2 beat VP to make Bucharest semis
G2's dominant T-halves paved the way into the top four.

G2 defeated Virtus.pro in the PGL Bucharest quarter-final with a 2-0 scoreline (Dust2 13-11, Mirage 13-9) to continue their hunt for their first trophy in 2025.
G2 will now face Complexity, who upset Aurora earlier on Friday, in the semi-final, set to be played on Saturday at 19:00 .

Virtus.pro went for their usual Dust2 pick in the series, but it was G2 who took an 8-4 lead after a well-oiled T side. Kaisar "ICY" Faiznurov's crisp P250 taps secured his team the pistol, however, which allowed them to equalize the score at 10 a piece.
Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko then finally got some action as the Long anchor and batted away two attacks to give G2 two map points, which they converted to a 13-11 victory.
Mirage played host to another dominant offense by G2, who made the most out of Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa's Deagle double kill in the second round to take an 8-2 lead.
That proved more than enough for a comfortable win, as G2 breezed into the top four after a 13-9 win on their map pick.
HeavyGod finding his feet on G2
The off-season loss of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač removed a fair bit of firepower from G2, and their early-season form seemed to show that neither malbsMd nor HeavyGod could entirely replace the Bosnian's output.
In Bucharest, however, HeavyGod has been nothing short of fantastic. He put up a 1.24 rating against Virtus.pro in the playoffs and has averaged a 1.22 across the entire tournament so far, which puts him fourth on the PGL Bucharest highest-rated player list.
With reports suggesting that PGL Bucharest could be G2's last tournament with this roster, the Israeli's firepower might be needed more than ever.
Have FL4MUS' wings been clipped?
Timur "FL4MUS" Marev had a breakthrough Shanghai Major with GamerLegion, where he was known for his unbridled aggression.
His transfer to Virtus.pro seems to have had a negative effect on the Russian rifler, however. There doesn't seem to be enough room for his plays in Virtus.pro's system, which is showing in his fragging output during 2025.
He averaged a 0.98 rating across 2025 and just put up his lowest tournament rating of the year in Bucharest (0.87).
