PGL Bucharest semi-finals as they happened

Complexity and G2 are set to kick off their semi-final clash on the former's pick of Anubis, with G2's perma-ban of Train coming in handy as the Americans have relied on the new map in achieving their success at PGL Bucharest so far.

Anubis will be followed up with Dust2, and then Ancient if a decider is required.

Thoughts on the lengthy series: "It was a crazy series; I feel a bit relieved now, but during the game it was a bit stressful. It was just one of those games where you just forget about anti-strat, forget about everything, and go full focus. Mostly I'm talking about the third map, you just play round-by-round and play by the feeling."

On support from teammates: "It was a stressful game, so everyone was talking a bit more and giving ideas, and I think that was the biggest problem because there was a lot of chaos on the TeamSpeak. In one of the rounds I just said we need to relax and listen to each other and stick to the one plan that we have. I think that was the most important thing in the last round."

On Falcons' bad start to the event: "There is a lot of noise since the first day we came here, and it maybe affected us in the first games, but then we just thought that we came here to play CS. I'm happy that after we had a bad start we managed to bring back our A-game. I'm excited to play in the final again."

Falcons move on to Sunday's grand final in Bucharest after a hard-fought 2-1 win over FaZe.

Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's troops showed tremendous fighting spirit on Ancient and managed to keep Mirage competitive all the way through, but Helvijs "⁠broky⁠" Saukants's disastrous performance on the decider map, when his team needed him the most, proved costly.

Falcons are in pole position to advance to the grand final after a great CT side on Mirage.

Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov was a constant menace on the AWP, and Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač's mid presence was felt throughout the half as he won five of his six opening duels.

A dominant last round seals the deal for FaZe and completes a fantastic comeback from 5-11 down. Mirage will be the decider map of this thrilling series.

From 5-11 down, FaZe have managed to take Ancient to overtime. The momentum is now clearly in their favor as Falcons' players seem to be shaken up after their opponents got a second lease on life.

All of a sudden, it's a three-round game. FaZe are doing their best to take this series to a third map, but they have no room for error as Falcons are only two rounds away from winning this match 2-0.

FaZe have a massive deficit to overcome, but can this streak of three rounds breathe some life into the team as they switch to the T side?

Not the start that FaZe would have wanted, as they waste the chance to secure the first round after letting a 4vs2 advantage slip.

Falcons threw one 5v3 and it was kyxsan who saved them from fumbling two more double-man advantages: first with a triple from Door and then a late 1v2.

TeSeS pipped him on ADR but who knows what game we see if Falcons lose those rounds?

FaZe haven't played Mirage since February, but it's in here as the decider.

A match between Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski and his former teammates, an old classic, or Ilya "⁠m0NESY⁠" Osipov facing off against his future team - a difficult choice indeed.

It's only clear which is the least favorite option.

The first semi-final of PGL Bucharest is a rematch from the Cluj-Napoca semi-finals, where Falcons took down FaZe with Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač and Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov in tandem.

Falcons are now on a four-match streak in Bucharest, which includes a big win over The MongolZ, while FaZe haven't had the toughest of runs with no top-10 teams in their path until now.
