The second day of action at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Europe Regional Qualifier is well underway with the conclusion of the 1-1 pool.
Following 500 and PARIVISION's eliminations earlier on Tuesday, four best-of-one matches in the 1-1 bracket have been played out.
The first match on the agenda was BC.Game vs. BIG, where Nemanja "nexa" Isaković's troops played a blinder on the Ancient offense to secure a 10-2 lead despite losing the pistol.
That proved to be too little for victory, however, as BIG rallied to force overtime and secure a 16-14 win alongside a spot in the 2-1 pool.
Next up was fnatic vs. BetBoom, which proved to be a close-fought and exciting affair. Neither team could build a sizable lead throughout the game that was eventually decided by crucial multi-kills by the BetBoom offense, who won the match 16-13. fnatic, meanwhile, dropped down to the 1-2 pool despite their new signing Dmytro "jambo" Semera topping the server with a 1.42 rating.
Another battle between a Russian and international lineup followed as SAW met 9 Pandas on Ancient. All 24 rounds were needed to find the victor, and Daniil "d1Ledez" Kustov's 21 kills proved enough to move his team one win away from the Major.
ENCE vs. Astralis was the final 1-1 match, with the two teams deciding to do battle on Train. The Danish organization, aiming to return to a Major for the first time since PGL Antwerp, put up a solid 9-3 CT half thanks to Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Casper "cadiaN" Møller leading the way in the fragging department.
A second-half pistol victory then ensured the Danes would get the better of their ex-member Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and move themselves within touching distance of the Austin Major.
