FlyQuest have extended their IEM Melbourne campaign by eliminating Virtus.pro in a two-map series (Inferno 13-11, Dust2 13-6).

The Oceanic team, making their LAN debut with Corey "⁠nettik⁠" Browne and Joshua "⁠INS⁠" Potter in the IGL role, found themselves in the lower bracket after a loss to Vitality but have put together a spirited performance against Denis "⁠electroNic⁠" Sharipov's troops.

The match started on Inferno, where Iulian "⁠regali⁠" Harjău found several entries and multifrags to recover disadvantages and help his team get a 9-5 lead. Kaisar "⁠ICY⁠" Faiznurov then answered with two 1vs2 clutches to bring the scoreline to even, but FlyQuest held on to claim a 13-11 victory.

The regali show continued on Dust2, as the Romanian sniper led the way with 108 ADR in a 6-6 T-half. A second-half pistol round gave INS and company a platform for a 2-0 victory, one they converted without much difficulty.

regali finished the map with 23 kills, 121 ADR, and a 2.04 rating to help his team stay alive in the lower bracket, where their next test will come against the loser of Falcons vs. Natus Vincere.

The loss marks a disappointing elimination for Virtus.pro, who continue to exhibit hot-and-cold form across 2025. The Russian squad made the playoffs at IEM Katowice and PGL Bucharest but has otherwise struggled for standout results, and another early exit will do little to change the outlook of their season.
