WCG confirms 2010 dates

The World Cyber Games committee has confirmed the dates for the 2010 event in Los Angeles.

WCG 2010 will take place from September 30 through to October 3 at Los Angeles' Convention Center, with nine gaming titles confirmed so far.

It has been announced that countries are restricted to just two teams in team play games, and that the medalists from Chengdu will be allowed to compete at the national finals, without having to play preliminaries.

This means that the following teams are able to participate at their respective national finals* for WCG 2010:

AGAiN (Frag eXecutors)
fnatic
mTw

Meanwhile, the WCG has announced that the map pool for this year's event will consist of de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_train and de_tuscan.

*The newspost earlier incorrectly stated that the teams could attend the WCG Grand finals without playing in the national qualifiers, that information was wrong, they can however skip the national preliminaries and attend the national finals directly.

Strat A : Rush the pool and try to plant. Strat B : Camp in the toilets. Hmmm I guess this map isnt properly a good choice for this kind of event but they can try it next year :P

Would be nice if some tournaments could start using some classic maps once in a while, despite the fact that some of them might be a little too much CT maps etc. Bring back cbble, cpl_fire and cpl_mill! :D
