moddii still with Playzone

Not long ago we brought a story saying Playzone had removed Andreas "moddii" Fridh from their roster for EPS Nordic – Things turns out we were a bit early on the report.

Yesterday it was reported that Playzone would be using Andreas "moddii" Fridh as a stand-in for ESL Pro Series Nordic, as Hugo "huggan" Lopez would be unable to play in the coming month. Today at noon, Fridh was once again removed from the Playzone roster (ESL log), with indications that he would not act for the team after all.

These assumptions were wrong, as Fridh will still play a role for Playzone in ESL Pro Series Nordic. Gustav "flabbert" Karto, admin of the ESL Nordic commented following on the actions taking place on the Playzone EPS Nordic team page:

"They had the team unlocked because they wanted to add a manager, and moddii was added at that time as well.

Guidelines were not followed with regards to adding the player, therefore the admins removed him from the team until such a time that the guidelines had been properly followed."

Man of the hour also stated, that the plans are still that he will play as stand-in for Playzone in the coming month.

Playzone still have a six-man roster that stands as follows:

Hugo "huggan" Lopez
Dennis "dennis" Edman
Manne "manne" Nordqvist
Tobias "pinne" Jansson
André "keiz" Carlsson

Andreas "moddi" Fridh (EPS stand-in)

Playzone will as earlier mentioned play Ab Ovo in their next encounter of ESL Pro Series Nordic.

in the top.. Moddii is not removed by the team, but by us (admins). Since playzone.se failed to add him the right way, and now they're trying again. A news only based on one log stamp is kinda lame IMO.

I think HLTV.org should leave guesswork up to rakaka.se, and just keep it at "real" news/official statements. news like moddhi was removed from EPS roster doesnt really seem news unless there's comments from players added.

Well at this age of new media, isn't waiting for official news post/comments kind of archaic? When twitter and facebook status quoted in legal processes, a team log seems more appropriate in this case. And well for the fact its a "news" we getting here, the developments that keeps happening over the time. And well for all the critics, seems like HLTV.org getting real big, I think time for a PR dept. lol just kidding

if it's lame then i'd have to give HLTV.org credits for being "lame" coz thanks to their "lameness" HLTV.org nowadays is one of the best CS 1.6 international websites!!! maybe the info is not correct but I respect them for the effort and attention !

he wasnt removed because of that. to make it clearer, the roster was locked, the only way it could be unlocked was if they were adding a new 'manager'. They requested the roster be unlocked to add a 'manager' and then tried to smuggle moddi in at the same time. ESL caught onto this, and removed him. He can still play for playzone, he just needs to be added correctly. (im assuming this means there is some time waiting period before they can add). They still want to play with him, they were just tying to push it through a little faster, probably because they have a match coming up and they wanted to use him.

also.... Peekay thinks moddii is a welcome addition to playzone

Yea because every newspost is filled with errors, or?! We break so many stories, it is easy to just sit on your ass all day and watch HLTV.org for the breaking news and then laugh if we once in a while get it wrong, but without us it is very unlikely that anyone would even have noticed that moddi had joined.. Besides then I think we are the site with the most comments from players and teams, but no one was online to confirm or deny this, so a decision was taken to post it..

Well, keiz stated that MODDII is a standin, so PZ.se wants him, this means that the news wasn't wrong, it just means that ESL, and all that has to do with it sucks. It is not your fault that U guys posted a real news, and that some issues with the teams on esl appeared. In conclusion the news was real from the beginning, and u guys have nothing to apologize for! Those who have to apologize are the esl admins.

no one has to apologize for anything omg... esl's admins have done no mistake, and the only mistake made by hltv.org was to say that pz had "announced" this move. The only real mistake was done by the players, but they owe nothing to us, so this whole debate has no point.

they did not announce, but keiz confirmed here on hltv.org that moddii is going to play, so it was certain that he will play for them! ESL admins fucked up this shit, or better said, the crappy system on esl site!
