The team prevailed in a best-of-five battle against TNL, where their former coach Kane is now CEO.
Passion UA have won Galaxy Battle Phase 1 after beating TNL 3-2 in the grand final, claiming a $25,000 payday and a 27-spot jump in the VRS in the process.
The Ukrainian organization has been on an upward climb since revamping its roster at the beginning of April, adding Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk and Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko and completing the surprise signing of Tiaan "T.c" Coertzen as coach.
They hold a 2-1 record in the Swiss stage of Tipsport Conquest of Prague — handed their only loss in nine matches by fnatic — and reached playoffs in Thunderpick World Championship Europe Series 1.
A title victory at Galaxy Battle Phase 1 adds to that run, with Woro2k's troops securing a direct invite to the playoffs and beating 9INE and NAVI Junior en route to the final.

TNL had to reach the title decider the hard way, initially going up 2-0 in the Swiss group stage but needing all their lives to get the job done after dropping series to CYBERSHOKE and NAVI Junior.
They had a resurgence in the playoffs and scored narrow wins over Partizan, Metizport, and ECSTATIC to earn their new CEO, Mikhaylo "Kane" Blagin, a chance to beat the organization that removed him "unexpectedly."
That opportunity was almost handed over, too, with Passion UA only avoiding a 0-3 sweep thanks to stealing TNL's Dust2 pick 13-10 to start the series.
TNL then dominated Mirage and came back from 5-9 down to steal Ancient in overtime, but couldn't tame a resurgent level from Passion UA on Anubis and Train as they took the series over the line.
