ENCE and fnatic secure first LAN berths of 2025 at $32K Tipsport Prague Finals

500 and 9INE complete the team list after advancing through the online stage.

ENCE, fnatic, 9INE, and 500 have advanced through the online stage of Tipsport Conquest of Prague to secure four spots at the LAN finals, which will run from May 30 to June 1 and utilize a double-elimination, best-of-three bracket to crown a champion.

The online stage saw 16 teams do battle in a Swiss group, from which eight advanced to the playoffs for the four qualifying matches.

A 1.45-rated series by Hristiyan "⁠REDSTAR⁠" Pironkov saw 500 claim victory over recent Galaxy Battle Phase 1 champions Passion UA in a tight, three-map series to earn the first LAN berth, while a decisive 2-0 win by 9INE somewhat soured NAVI Junior's recent win in Thunderpick World Championship European Series 1.

The other two spots were earned by ENCE and fnatic, who will play at their first LAN of 2025 after they struggled to crack the top 30 of Valve's Global Standings since the turn of the year, missed out on invites to notable events as a result, and failed to qualify for the BLAST.tv Austin Major through the Europe MRQ.

The latter organization, in particular, has labored to recover from its fall from grace despite making several changes in the off-season and beyond.

Its latest came mere hours before the team qualified for the Prague LAN by beating ECLOT, led by a 1.72-rated series from their newest addition, Dmytro "⁠jambo⁠" Semera, as the team now looks to stabilize and return to regular LAN competition.

ENCE, too, have had mixed results trudging through online tournaments as they look to climb the rankings, recently finishing as runners-up to NAVI Junior in YaLLa Compass Spring but losing to several lower-ranked teams in other events.

The $32,690 LAN in the Czech Republic will give all four teams the chance to earn valuable points ahead of the June 2 VRS ranking, which will crucially impact invites to IEM Cologne.
