IEM Dallas 2025Liquid out of Dallas with a whimper
Convincing losses to MOUZ and Aurora sent Liquid home early after a difficult run.
After the second consecutive game in which they struggled to find their footing, Liquid have been eliminated early from IEM Dallas, finishing the event in 9th-12th place.
The squad around Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek beat FaZe to kick off their campaign but were quickly sent to the lower bracket in Group B after getting outclassed by MOUZ outside of a cosmetic comeback.
A difficult draw meant another top-five team in Aurora awaited them in the elimination game, and Liquid came away with another convincing 0-2 loss to go out of the tournament with a whimper.

Map pool issues haunt Liquid
Their map pool issues came on display when they were forced on their second consecutive Inferno pick up against an Aurora team that bans out one of Liquid's favorite maps, Ancient, and has the other, Anubis, as a home map of their own.
Liquid struggled just as much on the T side of Inferno as they had against MOUZ on the previous day and went down early in the series after an uncompetitive first map.
The Dust2 affair could have turned out differently, but Aurora could not put a foot wrong in clutches and several disadvantageous retake situations. Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş' 1v3 and 1v2 within three rounds gave the Turks the advantage in the first half, and Özgür "woxic" Eker's Scout 1v2 early into the second meant Liquid would stay on the back foot.

Aurora made the arduous flight over from Astana and lost their opening game against HEROIC just hours after touching down in Dallas, but the Turks have fulfilled Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli's promise that the team would look better after they manage to get some rest.
