Elisa Nordic Championship 2025ECSTATIC jump to 27th on VRS after winning $100k Elisa Nordic Championship
The Danes soared eight spots on Valve's Global Ranking after winning the tier-two ranked tournament.
ECSTATIC have clinched victory at Elisa Nordic Championship after defeating Alliance 2-1 in the grand final (6-13 Inferno, 13-9 Nuke, 16-13 Train).
The Danes went undefeated in the eight-team event to claim the $50,000 top prize and 72 VRS points, the latter earning them an eight-spot jump in Valve's Global Ranking to 27th.
Runners-up Alliance rose 42 spots to 74th place, Johnny Speeds jumped 48 spots (#54) after placing third, and lower bracket final losers ENCE Academy gained 38 places (#38).
ECSTATIC beat Nordix in their studio opener to reach the Vaasan Sähkö Arena and added wins over Johnny Speeds and Alliance en route to the trophy, scoring an initial victory over Simon "twist" Eliasson's side in the upper bracket final before repeating that effort in the title decider.
Alliance were defeated soundly in their first matchup against the Danes, but recovered in the consolidation final by beating Johnny Speeds and took ECSTATIC the distance in the grand final, only to squander an 11-7 lead on the Train decider to lose in overtime.
ECSTATIC's in-game leader, Thomas "TMB" Bundsbæk, averaged a 1.26 rating over nine maps to finish the event as its highest-rated player, just ahead of teammates Kristoffer "Kristou" Aamand and Emil "sL1m3" Stolz's 1.25 ratings.
