NAVI Junior win CCT Series 2 to pick up third trophy in 2025

The highly rated academy squad continues its hot streak with another second-tier trophy.

dem0n led the way for NAVI Junior with a 1.33 rating

NAVI Junior won CCT Season 3 Europe Series 2 on Sunday after defeating Partizan 2-0 in the grand final, picking up its third trophy in just two months after previously winning YaLLa Compass Spring and Thunderpick World Championship 2025 European Series 1.

NAVI's academy squad is currently ranked 28th in the VRS, just six places below its peak placement of 22nd, which came on the back of the undefeated run in the YaLLa Compass tournament in April.

Invited straight to the single-elimination bracket because of their VRS rank, NAVI Junior were in fantastic form throughout and dropped only one map in the playoffs, in the hard-fought 2-1 win over Ninjas in Pyjamas.

Dmytro "⁠dem0n⁠" Myroshnychenko was the highest-rated player on the team at 1.33, followed by Drin "⁠makazze⁠" Shaqiri (1.30).

"Champions of CCT Season 3 Europe Series 2," head coach András "⁠coolio⁠" Fercsák wrote on X. "This team is the best."

NAVI Junior will now turn their attention towards CCT Season 3 Europe Series 3, kicking off June 10. In September, the team will compete in the closed qualifier for the Thunderpick World Championship, in which two spots at the $850,000 Maltese LAN will be on offer.

If they perform poorly in the major, changes will be made. Specially with IM and W0nderfull, both of them playing key positions, and having very little impact. JL might be irregular but is one of the few players in the team that make things happen. And now that he is not performing like a top5 player, the team is just bad. edit: i would -IM +makazze 100%

well they could keep b1t and wonderful (cmtry is worse right now) and promote the other 3 in starting team. I would like better a very young team that has the potential to become top tier than the current lineup
