BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 1OG outclass NRG to lock up Major Stage 2 spot
The North Americans will have one more chance to make it out of the first stage.
OG are through to Stage 2 of the BLAST Austin Major, capping a dominant run through the opening phase with a quick 2-0 victory against a helpless NRG side that must now fight for their tournament life on Friday.

Christoffer "Chr1zN" Storgaard's troops were in control from start to finish, with the Danish IGL posting a series-high 1.71 rating. Four of OG's players finished Stage 1 with average ratings higher than 1.30 - a massive confidence boost for the young team ahead of the next stage.
"I'm very happy that we made it through the first stage," Olle "spooke" Grundström said after the match. "I'm glad to stay here for a couple more days, at least.
"Stage 2 is a step up, but I wouldn't say it's a big, big, big step up. The biggest step up would be Stage 3, but we'll see."
Heading into the match, Maciej "F1KU" Miklas shared his confidence that it "should be a really smooth 2-0 for us." It is the sort of remark that can easily backfire, but OG came out full of intent and stormed to a 9-3 lead on Mirage thanks to a very proactive defense, with NRG winning only one opening duel the entire half.
NRG kept their comeback hopes alive after a flawless pistol and conversion, but their efforts were in vain as OG took the reins of the game once they had guns to work with.
More misery was heaped on NRG just moments into Nuke, when they couldn't convert the pistol round as spooke pulled off a Desert Eagle quad kill. OG took control of the game after that, riding a wave of momentum after a 2v5 clutch to secure a commanding 9-3 lead.
Any hope that NRG had for a comeback melted after half-time as Chr1zN came up huge with a quad-kill, with OG following that up with three rounds en route to a 13-3 finish.
