HEROIC through to Stage 2 round 5 after eliminating TYLOO

HEROIC's last dance with SunPayus and sAw hung in the balance, but a reverse sweep has kept them alive at the Austin Major.

HEROIC beat TYLOO in a 2-1 series in round 4 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major's second stage to advance to the do-or-die fifth round.

The result ends the Chinese squad's campaign in Austin, where they squeezed through Stage 1 with a 3-2 record and finished Stage 2 with one win in four matches, against M80 in the opening round.

TYLOO didn't look competitive in their previous two losses against FaZe and Lynn Vision earlier in the stage, but fought valiantly against the favored HEROIC squad.

Ultimately, though, TYLOO will rue a missed opportunity after converting a hard-fought win on the opening Ancient, where they made it back from a 4-8 halftime deficit off the back of Dongkai "⁠Jee⁠" Ji's inspired Deagle work at 10-12 to win in a clean overtime.

Their chaotic style on Mirage seemed to take HEROIC off-guard in key moments, but three losses to forcebuys, spearheaded by Simon "⁠yxngstxr⁠" Boije's superb Five-Seven play on Balcony on two of those occasions, ended up costing the Chinese dearly.

On Train, HEROIC were in control throughout ever since they came out on top of the early forcebuy exchanges with an 8-4 T side half.
