FURIA move past B8 to enter Stage 3 in Austin
The Brazilians have locked up a spot in the next stage after a three-map affair.

FURIA are through to Stage 3 of the Austin Major following a 2-1 victory against B8 in round four of the second stage. The Brazilian team started slowly but began to click in all phases of the game after the first map as B8 lost control of the game after a blowout victory on Mirage.
"I'm so happy," Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato said after the match, "We had a month with the team, we played two tournaments. I'm glad we've made it.
"The atmosphere is really good. Now we speak English and it's really easy to understand the game and talk about what is happening. The callouts in English are way easier than in Portuguese."

What started as a competitive game of Mirage quickly turned into a one-way street: playing on their map pick, B8 ran over FURIA's defense for a 9-3 half, and followed it up with four quick rounds as CTs, leaving the Brazilians shell-shocked after such a one-sided affair.
Artem "kensizor" Kapran and Daniil "headtr1ck" Valitov went huge in the early stages of Train as they powered B8 to a 4-0 lead on the back of great individual rounds. Things were starting to look grim for FURIA, but they remained composed and won out the half 7-5, with Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis at the centre of the action with three opening duels and an 89 ADR.
The Latvian player then added to FURIA's lead with a trio of USP frags in a 2v3 retake. The team rode that wave to a quick map win as B8 struggled to find any rhythm on the T side, mustering only one round.
FURIA came out on Dust2 with fire in their bellies as they romped to an 8-1 lead on the offense. B8 then found a lifeline as they won the last three rounds of the half and the ensuing pistol, but their comeback hopes were dashed in the second round as FURIA won a low buy and ran away with the game.
