Teams qualified from Stage 2 continue to thrive at BLAST.tv Austin Major.
FURIA have continued an opening round full of upsets in Austin, inching past The MongolZ 13-11 on Inferno to start Stage 3 with a bang.
It was a long, back-and-forth map that began with FURIA taking a 3-0 lead on their T side, before The MongolZ began to assert dominance. With a big half-time lead looming for the Mongolians, Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis stepped up with some important entry work to ensure a tied score at the half.
FURIA picked up another pistol to start their CT half, but once The MongolZ got guns up they began to build a lead, bowling their opponents over with up-tempo bombsite attacks. A YEKINDAR clutch and Danil "molodoy" Golubenko 4K turned the tides, and FURIA duly closed out the map.

Plenty of heads were scratched when FURIA pivoted away from a Brazilian lineup by picking up a relatively unknown AWPer and a seemingly washed-up rifler from Europe.
Both of their new signings have thrived in the FURIA jersey, and today they were once again pivotal in bringing home the goods. YEKINDAR's entry work on T side was excellent, whilst molodoy found a vital 4K as the map was starting to slip away.
