The Hungarian AWPer is off the roster following a run of poor form at Big Events in 2025.

GamerLegion have announced the benching of Henrich "⁠sl3nd⁠" Hevesi from the Counter-Strike roster, bringing an end to the Hungarian's 14-month tenure with the team.

The removal follows a rough patch from the 20-year-old AWPer, who averaged a 0.93 across the team's five Big Event showings in 2025, only once finishing above the 1.00 mark in GamerLegion's run to the quarter-finals at PGL Bucharest.

It had been clear for some time that he was under pressure of being replaced. GamerLegion's coach, Ashley "⁠ash⁠" Battye, admitted back in April that sl3nd had "struggled a bit mentally" and with confidence and that the team was working hard on bringing him back to form, but the effort was without success.

The benching comes just as the season is coming to an end at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, for which GamerLegion failed to qualify.

The impending off-season is likely to shake things up at the top echelons of Counter-Strike, and the fact that the European side acted pre-emptively suggests the organization has set its eyes on a replacement already.

degster imo, broky feels like a too big downgrade for him, i know he wasnt good recently but thats not the player for GamerLegion brand, degster fits perfectly, he is not T1 player

That had to happen, sl3nd really has been in my eyes one of the worst AWPers in TOP 30, it was clearly visible that GamerLegion has reached such a high level of play that he couldn't keep up, so it was defienietly a move that needed to happen in that summer break. I've heard some rumors that he is going to be replaced with Kursy, who has looked insane in lower tiers, I think it's another great roster move from ash. I really do believe that GamerLegion can keep up their spot of being a stable team that attends Tier1 events and sometimes makes playoffs aswell, however even with this roster, it's hard for me to imagine them taking the next step and actually becoming a title contender. However I wish all the best to them and hope ash can prove me wrong :) <3

If ash has picked him up, I believe, he has proven to me many times that when he makes a signing that seems unreasonable it actually makes sense, I didn't believe picking up REZ was a good idea after his struggles in NIP, and look, REZ is playing well again, so if he signed Kursy for me there is no reason to doubt that this kid has abilities.
