The MongolZ win instant-classic Dust2 against G2 to clinch Austin playoffs
Five sets of OT were needed to separate G2 and The MongolZ in a barn burner of a Dust2 that included innumerable highlight plays.

The MongolZ have earned a playoff berth at BLAST.tv Austin Major thanks to a 2-0 win over G2, clinching an insanely competitive Dust2 after five overtimes to get the job done.
On Ancient it was a powerful The MongolZ T side that got the job done, after a back-and-forth first half was split down the middle.
G2 had a chance to put a stop to The MongolZ offensive rampage early, but a majestic 4K by Ayush "mzinho" Batbold turned a 3v5 on its head, and ushered forth an easy The MongolZ map win.
Dust2 was a far more competitive affair, with G2 starting strong on their T side before they ran headfirst into a man possessed in Azbayar "Senzu" Munkhbold. The MongolZ's star was in sublime form with both the Scout and the AWP, racking up 21 kills by halftime to tie up the score for his team.
G2's stars granted them a blistering start to the second half, a 1v4 clutch by Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and 4K by Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko pushing their team forward to an 11-6 lead.
Up stepped Senzu once again, posting multi-kill after multi-kill, in one instance turning a 2v5 scenario, to guide The MongolZ the series point. It was there that The MongolZ faltered, however, and G2 did just enough to send the map to overtime.
Overtime was a brawl, with both teams coming up with big plays and crazy rounds to turn man-disadvantage situation, as the rest of the two squads stepped up to join Senzu and HeavyGod in finding key frags.
The teams continued to fight tooth and nail across five sets of extra rounds, both G2 and The MongolZ fending off multiple map points, but ultimately some brutal rounds by Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren made all the difference, sending The MongolZ through to the playoffs.
Senzu steps up in crunch time
The MongolZ needed a hero after starting slowly on Dust2, and it was Senzu who stepped up and performed. He single-handedly tied up the scores in the first half, produced immense plays in man-down scenarios, and ultimately was the only reason his team event got to OT, where his teammates stepped up to help him close the series.
Senzu has often been criticised as a player who displays his immense skill in low-stakes games, but goes missing when the pressure is on. Today he went some way to casting off that label, and The MongolZ can thank him for their playoff berth.
G2's Last Dance stutters and falls
G2 certainly had chances to send this series to a decider, but it served as a microcosm for their Major campaign as a whole. There were good maps, very close showings against top teams, but they couldn't quite get the job done.
Now G2 will head into a player break of rebuilding, with Eetu "sAw" Saha and Álvaro "SunPayus" García set to arrive ahead of the new season. Whether there will be more changes or not, it is unclear, but G2 have significant work ahead of them regardless.
