zweih is in Spirit's crosshairs after impressing at the Austin Major

Spirit are looking to get the signature of Nemiga's star anchor Ivan "⁠zweih⁠" Gogin, sources who wish to remain anonymous tell HLTV.

Although it is unclear whom he would replace on the team, the 17-year-old plays positions that are shared between Boris "⁠magixx⁠" Vorobiev and Myroslav "⁠zont1x⁠" Plakhotia, suggesting Spirit are looking to make broader changes to the composition.

zweih has been earmarked as one of the most exciting up-and-coming prospects on the Russian-speaking scene. He joined Nemiga at just 16 years old last year, and he has averaged a 1.10 rating playing mostly against teams around the top 30 to make his name as a specialist anchor in the making.

His performances in just the first half of a year at the professional scene earned him a Bold Prediction shoutout from none other than his potential teammate-to-be, Danil "⁠donk⁠" Kryshkovets.

And to underline a promising first year, zweih has just attended his first Major in Austin, Texas, and made an impressive debut with a 1.21 rating in Stage 3 and 1.28 in Stage 2 spearheading Nemiga's surprise run to the final Swiss phase of the event.
