NIP bench arrozdoce, xKacpersky joins on loan

The Portuguese rifler is being replaced by former Young Ninjas player xKacpersky.

Ninjas in Pyjamas have announced the benching of Rafael "⁠arrozdoce⁠" Wing, bringing to an end the Portuguese rifler's six-month stint on the starting roster. He is being replaced by Kacper "⁠xKacpersky⁠" Gabara on loan.

The news comes after HLTV reported that Ninjas in Pyjamas were in advanced talks with ENCE over the signing of xKacpersky, who previously played for Young Ninjas.

xKacpersky arrives in Ninjas in Pyjamas having been a hot commodity in recent times, as G2 explored the possibility of his signing before turning to Matúš "⁠MATYS⁠" Šimko. The Pole was ENCE's highest-rated player over the course of 2025, averaging a 1.15 rating as he helped guide the team to a litany of deep runs in tier-two events.

arrozdoce joined Ninjas in Pyjamas in January, arriving after helping put SAW on the map across 2024 as one of the Portuguese side's better players. The 23-year-old initially sat on the sidelines as Ninjas in Pyjamas utilized Audric "⁠JACKZ⁠" Jug as a stand-in to secure wildcard slots for events.

Upon joining the main roster, Ninjas in Pyjamas struggled to make headway at first, failing to make it through qualifiers for CCT-level online events. The team make a breakthrough in April by completing a mammoth run to qualify for PGL Astana, and form began to improve.

A win at Fragadelphia Las Vegas, playoff run at PGL Astana, and some deep runs in online events saw Ninjas in Pyjamas rocket up the VRS over the back end of the season, and they went into the player break hovering around the top 20.

Throughout his time on Ninjas in Pyjamas arrozdoce struggled to develop into the star player Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer claimed to want of him, mustering a 1.03 rating across the year that was the second-worst in the team.

bro what are u saying ahahahha, NIPs problem was that they had too many anchors, arrozdoce has always been an anchor, he was kinda "forced" to play rotational since the team already had sjuush and snappi as the anchors. xKacpersky will play rotation with ewjerkz

“better roles” is a relative concept, certain players just don’t adapt to more agressive and rotational playstyles. Also he’s playing secondary anchor spots in the few maps where he anchors, sjuush has all the main ones that arrozdoce was used to playing

I would love to see sinnopsy getting a chance as IGL... dude is FREE. igled a team to the major has good enough stats for a IGL. in the games , you clearly see he is not IGLING around him , so his stats are not inflated by any sort. He is like a budget 2018 gla1ve ( PLAYMAKER wise) (style of play)

I dont understand the hate against NiP for this roster at the very least. They've finally tried to assemble a good core (Snappi Sjuush and r1nkle, keeping r1nkle from leaving was a great move) and now all there needs to be is to swap the weak links, which they've partly done with xkac. Honestly this team might not be top 1 like NiP "promised", but it still looks exciting and good enough to make the top 15

xkac is a firepower upgrade (maybe, we'll see how it goes if NIP ever play against a team in the top 10 again), but the rest of the team aren't consistent and snappi doesn't seem to be able to actually produce a worthwhile system. when i watched the CCT final they seemed kinda messy and ill-disciplined, even on anubis when they were spanking navi jr all across the map.

He 100% is when he frags against tier 2 while arrozdoce doesn't frag at all. The point is not to contest with the top 10. The point is to be a stable top 15, then slowly improve, and currently I see nothing that stops them from attempting to fight Furia or a G2, or a Astralis over that 10th spot. Xkac can easily help them do that. Sjuush is very good; we saw that at Astana. r1nkle also played very well (went even against donk and outawped shiro) He smacks down everyone in t2. That is good enough for a top 15 team. In regards to their play, I admit I haven't watched them. (Theres more interesting CS) But I did watch them at Astana, and they performed at a level that they should be at. And to me, with such a recent performance, that's good enough to merit further watch for their next tournaments

That team didn't exist by the way. Hampus was replaced by k0nfig in case you didn't know. There was a very brief stint in which hampus did play with Konfig. That team lost to Gamerlegion without im. They lost to almost every relevant team with the exception of a random win over Vitality and Astralis. They lost to 9ine and almost to 1win. Yes, on PAPER they did seem strong, or at least equal in strength to NiP device. But they didn't work. NiP device did, at least for some time

It's always been the reverse, even on SAW - ewjerkz was the star player and arroz was support/anchor Anubis - Ewjerkz: B connector (same as donk) / arroz: A anchor D2 - Ewjerkz: mid rotate / Arroz: b anchor Inferno - ewjerkz: b aggressive (like niko) / Arroz: A Anchor Mirage: Connector (same as donk) / arroz: B catwalk (Support player usually takes this) Only real anchor-like spots ewjerkz has is ramp on Nuke (usually 2nd anchor like Ropz or zontix plays this) and Ancient where arroz plays mid and ewjerkz plays b anchor
