The one-time Women's Player of the Year runner-up returns to the South American scene.

MIBR fe have announced the signing of Olga "⁠Olga⁠" Rodrigues, marking the 31-year-old's return to a Brazilian team after two years featuring for HSG fe. Lara "⁠goddess⁠" Baceiredo has been moved to the bench to make room for Olga.

Olga recently explained her decision to leave HSG fe speaking to Dust2.com.br, citing the lack of opportunities to play internationally after ESL took away Asia's ESL Impact Finals spot. "Unfortunately, they [ESL] killed the women's scene in Asia."

Olga rose to prominence over 2022 whilst playing for FURIA fe, leading the team statistically as they finished second in ESL Impact League Finals in seasons 1 and 2 and won a plethora of smaller events. Her immense 1.39 rating across 2022 saw her finish runner-up to Ana "⁠ANa⁠" Dumbravă for HLTV's Women's Player of the Year award.

Early in 2023 Olga opted to try her hand in an international team by joining HSG fe, playing in ESL Impact Finals in season 3, 4 and 5 with the team after qualifying through the Asian region.

ESL dealt HSG fe a blow mid-way through 2024 by removing the APAC portion of ESL Impact League, leading the team to qualify for Europe's iteration of the league. The team performed poorly in the European division however, missing out on qualifying for ESL Impact Finals, and the team opted not to participate in the European league qualifiers.

Olga's addition will be a significant boost for MIBR fe, who finished second to FURIA fe in the last iteration of ESL Impact League South America. This qualified the team for ESL Impact Finals, but they exited with a whimper after losses to NIP Impact and FlyQuest RED.

Glad that Olga can still find a good home, she is a good and old friend of the APAC CS community who fought till the very end for our region's women even when the ESL and the entire world tried to exterminate us. One day both women and men from APAC and Brazilian CS will destroy the European menace and avenge 25 years of EUCS tyranny, HSG will be avenged just like MVPPK and Renegades.
