molodoy to attend FISSURE PLAYGROUND opener despite travel troubles

FURIA's young AWPer missed the media day in Belgrade due to his flight being cancelled.

Danil "⁠molodoy⁠" Golubenko will arrive in Belgrade in time for FISSURE Playground 1's opening day, FURIA's CEO, Jaime Pádua, has confirmed to HLTV.

There were doubts over the 20-year-old's attendance after he posted on Instagram about having his flights cancelled.

"I can't fly from Kazakhstan for the second day in a row," molodoy wrote in his story. "It's a very unpleasant situation."

But HLTV has been told by Pádua that molodoy will arrive on July 14, in time for the July 15 opening match against SAW.

That molodoy, one of the frontrunners for Rookie of the Year, can attend is a boost for FURIA as they attempt to win their first LAN since Elisa Master Espoo in 2023.

FURIA, at number nine on the VRS, are the highest-ranked team attending Belgrade and will want to continue their Austin Major form after making the addition of Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis permanent.

Whether the travel trouble will affect that, only time will tell.
