The Valkyries have revealed zAAz's replacement

Imperial Valkyries have announced the addition of Narmina "⁠wieenN⁠" Gasanova to the women's Counter-Strike roster.

Touted a "rising star in the scene" by the Brazilian organization, wieenN's move to the best women's team of the past three years will represent a big step up in pressure and expectations.

She joins the team as the de facto replacement for Zainab "⁠zAAz⁠" Turkie, who parted ways with Imperial Valkyries last month in the aftermath of the end of their unbeaten run in ESL Impact League competitions with their Season 7 Finals loss to FURIA fe.

zAAz and Imperial Valkyries part ways

wieenN last played for Eco Warriors, with whom she averaged a 1.09 rating in 2025 as the team made it to the top six of ESL Impact League Season 7 Europe and the grand final of last month's Tradeit League FE Masters Season 7.

Before that, she played with dream catchers fe, later competing under the K27 fe banner, with whom she has the only LAN attendance on record from ESL Impact League Season 6 Finals.

Highly expected for some time. I still held out hope it will be Hanka, but WieenN is the second best option. I have some scepticism about her play vs top teams, but she's a decent player. She's also friends with the rest of the team, so the chemistry should be great from the start and i hope they find success with the new roster. Saying all that, welcome to the team, WieenN! Expected for at least one month. Potential good move for this team. Is it enough to win the next ESL Impact or at least make it to the playoffs? Given the firepower of NIP Impact with Zana, and that possible banger move from BIG Equipa, I am afraid the Valkyries are cooked.

Where did you get that rumor from? AverOna seems like a downgrade for Zerance. Is the rumor that ASTRA wants to leave and they need a replacement? Also how will Vicu and ASTRA work on the same team, who will be AWPing?

I mean, i agree that Hanka was a much better option, but WieenN made sense from a standpoint that she constantly played faceit with Tory and Twenty3 On the contrary Astra leaving Zerance to join BIG sounds like complete nonsense with no merit behind it. If it somehow ends up beign true this guy has some crazy inside sources

yhhh team chemistry is always good, but i mean, hanka is an established top rifler in the scene for years now, an upgrade to any roster she joins... maybe BIG didnt let her go? i think thats the most likely reason TBH xD agreed on astra! ive said this before, but it seems like this zerance lineup is the first roster where she really was able to shine finally. and now joining BIG to clash with vicu? eh i dont see it

I guess BIG EQUIPA is rebuilding their roster with the former NAVI Javelins core (vicu, ASTRA, Hanka). It would be surprising and shocking to see ASTRA leaving Zerance, but at the same time, getting crushed by Supernova Comets at Dallas might make her reconsider the project. I think AverOna might be a good pick. She has a 1.16 rating in the last six months, so I assume it's enough to get their interest. I don't know if she speaks french, but I don't think she does. So Zerance would go international. GIven the role AverOna has, I guess Kaoday will retake the AWP. At least Zerance will get her for free, because DMS dropped their roster 2 weeks ago (t.me/dmsesportsgg/740). To be confirmed, or denied.

eh? why would astra leave Zerance? They got to semi finals in Impact league finals, won the European championship, and are looking very good. Kyossa is always playing with juliano. And Zaaz seems like she is going to play with juliano again. I dont see these 3 not ending up together -paulie + emmsan also doesnt make sense for me

Zerance didn't make it do the semifinals, they got crushed by Supernova Comets in the decider match of their group stage.. The European championship is different. They played against national teams that got mostly carried by one or two player(s). Assuming that this is confirmed, I think ASTRA wasn't satisfied by the performance of the team at Dallas. They expected to get to the playoffs, but that tough loss against Supernova Comets made her reconsider this project. Let's not forget that ASTRA made it to the grand final with RacheLL and Let Her Cook during season 5, led the new international Navi Javelins roster to semifinals, and now didn't manage to get out of the group stage with the french national roster that is basically trying to represent a ruined french female scene. So reuniting with Hanka and vicu could be good for her if she wants to lift the trophy. I won't be surprised if Kyossa decides to try a new project without Juliano. Juliano is struggling finding and /or building a team to win that tournament. At BIG Equipa, she got destroyed by the Valkyries (semifinals, season 6). With Eco Warriors, a potential Valkyries killer in my opinion (at least that's what I thought), they got dismantled by Prototype Blaze/Zerance in the decider match. Meanwhile, Zaaz had lifted two big trophies and already considered leaving Imperial after Dallas. I would be glad to see Juliano and Zaaz together, but is it a good idea, given how strong NIP Impact, Furia and Supernova Comets became? If They do so, who are they gonna put in their new team? And what if Zaaz wants to launch her own project without Juliano? Zaaz is 34. Maybe she wants to lead a new team as an IGL, just like what Vilga did with Nigma Galaxy and is doing with NIP, so she can help young talents from the next generation to develop, gain confidence and represent the female scene as she did for more than 20 years, I don't know. Emmsan, was not bad with spray and Slay, but is it enough for this potential iteration of BIG Equipa? I don't know... #67
