CPL vows to pay overdue prizes

The new Cyberathlete Professional League administration has guaranteed that all overdue prizes will be paid.

The fall of the previous CPL administration has left several teams without their prize winnings from some tournaments, which the new owners will now look to emend.

All teams that can prove they did not receive their respective prize payments from CPL tournaments will be able to lodge a claim, which will then go through a vetting process and be audited by a third party.

The new CPL portal, to come online in the coming days, will provide info on how teams will be able to initiate the process of claiming their unpaid prize winnings.

A very good step towards the right direction.

They lost all their credibility with Tonya Welch's blogposts. Even though they isnt neccessarily true, they shadowed the whole CPL brand even further, personally to the point that I don't believe anything I read coming from "the new CPL administration". Hopefully they will deliver something REAL and not just piles of bullshit.

I would really like to find a single person who can legitimately prove they did not receive their winnings and getting it from the CPL now. Until then, they can say all they want, but it's all just going to be speculation.

They vow ...? This means nothing, the old organisation vowed to pay these prizes when they announced they were up for winning them or when they announced who had won the money. Until payments go out, this means absolutely nothing.
