OG replace TYLOO at BLAST Bounty S2

The FISSURE Playground 1 champions will not be attending the European event.

BLAST have announced that OG will be replacing TYLOO at the upcoming Bounty 2025 Season 2 tournament, set to begin on August 5 with the online stage.

No reason has been given for TYLOO's withdrawal, but the Chinese team has spent an extended period in Europe, during which they claimed a title at FISSURE Playground 1.

Yi "JamYoung" Yang and company are now playing at IEM Cologne, where they have just been bested by Virtus.pro in their opener, with the German event set to end just two days before Bounty S2.

OG, who received the invite due to being the next in line via Global VRS standings, ended the spring season with an encouraging result at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

A roster change followed as Adam "adamb" Ångström replaced Christian "Buzz" Andersen, and the European lineup played two online qualifiers with their new addition, winning one of them.

Bounty S2 event is split into an online stage, which feeds into a LAN final. The 32 teams will play out two single-elimination series online, with the eight flawless teams set to receive a ticket to the LAN portion in Malta.

why weird bro whats the point of losing vrs points online

Not really. For non-EU teams, BLAST Bounty isn't really worth it, neither financially nor in terms of VRS points.

bc of travel effort? wouldnt it still be more than what they could hope to gain in home regional tourneys??

Unless they get really far, there's little to no points to gain, since it's an online event with 0 prizepool. They can also probably earn more points farming in Asia than in Bounty if they don't make the LAN Finals It's not worth the risk and they're much better off practicing, especially since there's a whole new map to learn

VRS reasons are my guess. No point traveling to play an online Blast when you could be practicing for an event that actually matters for your ranking.

I guess Tyloo want a break from travelling which is understandable.

They just won a LAN event. No need for a clown online tournament with no impact on VRS.

Maybe give themselves time to sort visas and no need to waste vrs points online in case they lose

Look like they want to bring the FISSURE trophy to home and rest a bit than fly to EWC Saudi.
