3DMAX started strong on both maps but faded as NIP took control.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have booked their ticket for Stage 2 of IEM Cologne, doing so via a relatively comfortable 2-0 win over 3DMAX. The Frenchmen started strong on both maps, only for Ninjas in Pyjamas to take firm control as time wore on.
This result sends Ninjas in Pyjamas through to the next stage whilst 3DMAX have to fight for their spot against FISSURE Playground champions TYLOO.

Ninjas in Pyjamas began their map pick of Nuke firmly on the back foot, floundering on their T side as 3DMAX repelled them with ease, Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro racking up the frags in the process. Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara prevented disaster, however, repeatedly finding entry kills to help Ninjas in Pyjamas run the score back to 5-7.
Artem "r1nkle" Moroz produced a beautiful all-headshot USP 4K to get Ninjas in Pyjamas off to flying start on their CT side, and despite repeatedly giving up opening kills, Ninjas in Pyjamas did not let up. xKacpersky continued to wreak havoc in mid-round situations and 3DMAX could not find the answer, granting Ninjas in Pyjamas a comfortable win.
Dust2 began much as Nuke did, with Ninjas in Pyjamas starting slowly, this time on the CT side, before working their way back into the map. r1nkle was the man to kick start the comeback this time, finding numerous AWP multi-kills, eventually helping his team to another 5-7 half.
By the time Ninjas in Pyjamas got onto the T side of Dust2 the entire squad had come online and 3DMAX once again waned, allowing Ninjas in Pyjamas to stroll to a comfortable 13-7 victory.
