3DMAX burst TYLOO's bubble to make Cologne Stage 2

The French squad completed a 3-9 comeback on Ancient to eliminate the FISSURE Playground 1 champions.

3DMAX secured an IEM Cologne Stage 2 spot after getting the better of TYLOO in a two-map series (Inferno 22-20, Ancient 13-10).

The match started on Inferno, which proved to be a hard-fought scrappy affair. No team was able to take control as TYLOO stayed in the game by winning a round with unarmored pistols, which helped them secure overtime.

Chaos ensued after regulation, as both teams dropped rounds they weren't supposed to, but 3DMAX did enough to secure victory thanks to a team performance, where all members were separated by 0.2 rating.

TYLOO answered with an imperious 9-3 half on the defensive side of Ancient, but their T-side was far from impressive. They racked up just one round, courtesy of an impactful Qianhao "⁠Moseyuh⁠" Chen double, to peter out with a disappointing 10-13 loss that eliminated them from IEM Cologne.

TYLOO come crashing down to earth

Less than a week ago in Belgrade, TYLOO were on top of the world after winning FISSURE Playground 1 and making history for their country. Yi "⁠JamYoung⁠" Yang, who took home the MVP award, looked like a superstar, and the future looked bright for the Chinese squad.

In Cologne, however, losses to Virtus.pro and 3DMAX condemn them to an early exit, while their star from Belgrade dropped down to a 1.08 rating across the event.

With TYLOO dropping out of BLAST Bounty S2, they have almost a month until their next tier-one appearance at EWC, meaning their hot start to the season might have already ended.
