IEM Cologne 2025NIP ease past HEROIC in elimination series
HEROIC have been sent packing in Cologne after a woeful performance.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have moved into Group B's second lower bracket round at IEM Cologne 2025 following a 2-0 victory over HEROIC.
It was a one-sided affair completely dominated by Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer's troops, who put in their best performance since bringing in Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara. But it was Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto who stole the show as he posted a series-high 1.69 rating after topping the scoreboard on both maps.
The manner in which they easily disposed of HEROIC will come as a major boost for Ninjas in Pyjamas after the close and frustrating loss to Aurora. Next up will be a much tougher encounter with the loser of Natus Vincere vs. MOUZ.

Ninjas in Pyjamas came out guns blazing on HEROIC's map pick of Train and took control of proceedings from the early exchanges. Linus "LNZ" Holtäng's troops mustered only one opening duel the entire game as they struggled to withstand NIP's onslaught, with ewjerkz and xKacpersky leading the charge for the team in a 13-4 blowout victory.
Ninjas in Pyjamas carried their momentum into Nuke and strolled to a 6-0 lead - a run that began with a 3v5 win in the pistol round. It was only then that HEROIC finally hit their stride, and they kept the Ninjas at bay for almost the rest of the half to bring the deficit down to two rounds.
The punishment continued in the second half, however, as HEROIC got shut down in a matter of seconds while attempting to enter A in the pistol round. They only managed to get one round on the board before Ninjas in Pyjamas calmly put the series to rest.
