The MongolZ smash GamerLegion in EWC opener
The BLAST Bounty finalists had no issues in Saudi Arabia.
The MongolZ have stomped GamerLegion in their Esports World Cup opener, easing their way into the round of 16.
Ashley "ash" Battye's had potential to be a banana peel for the tournament after skipping BLAST Bounty, giving them time to integrate new signing Jeremy "Kursy" Gast and new map Overpass.
But that did not materialize on the server despite GamerLegion winning three clutches in the first four rounds of Overpass for a 4-0 lead.

After that, the economy was always a problem and GL were hit with a brick wall when they tried to attack Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold and Usukhbayar "910" Banzragch in the A Bathrooms.
"It was a long time ago that Overpass was in the map pool," Techno said to Sam "Tech Girl" Wright post-game. "It's [about] remembering our strategies, but it's a good map for us. Teams should pick it against us for sure."
mzinho's clutches signal the death knell
On Inferno, The MongolZ were even more dominant and Ayush "mzinho" Batbold put the final nail in GamerLegion's coffin with two 1v3 clutches.

Kursy's struggles continue
New AWPer Kursy has had a tough time stepping up to tier one and this series was no exception.
The Frenchman only managed two AWP kills all series, and ended it with a team-low 0.69 rating.
GamerLegion were a solid team in the first half of the season, but have not quite put it together after the summer break and have slipped to 11th in the live European VRS ranking.
