rain: "There are different ideas that people are doing constantly"
rain lamented his team's inconsistent teamplay after an early elimination at the hands of Aurora.

FaZe have been struggling to put together deep tournament runs for some time and not much has changed coming into the new season, as they have followed up their pre-playoff exit in Cologne with a last-place finish at Esports World Cup.
"The mood isn't great, of course," Håvard "rain" Nygaard admitted after losing out to Aurora. "Maybe it's time to go back to the ground and take it one game at a time."
After his team's disappointing elimination, rain sat down with HLTV to discuss the reason's for their loss against Aurora and their plan to improve moving forwards.
Listen to the interview here.
How are you feeling after that series?
Pretty shit to be honest (laughs). It sucks travelling all this way and going out so early, especially after the good Inferno we had as well. So it's a little rough to say the least.
What do you think went wrong for you?
I think just the T sides were off on both Mirage and Overpass. I don't know if we weren't clicking and weren't listening to each other enough, I just feel like it was off. Also on Overpass, I felt like they had a really good read on us. Most of the time when we executed, they were three or four there, and I think we were a bit telegraphed compared to what we used to be.
Do you think there's any aspect of playing them a couple of times recently, and you've been getting the wins? Do you think that might play into it, them having demos to watch?
Yeah that as well. Also last time we played them they didn't have XANTARES there, so maybe they wanted to prove that they would beat us with the true lineup. They had a little bit of extra fire. I think once you beat them enough, they're going to have more on you than what you have on them.
The rumours were that in the offseason FaZe wanted to make more than one change…
No comment.
Looking forward, what are you guys focusing on then to improve?
Just the teamplay overall. I feel we have days where we're really on point and listening to each other and things are just clicking very good, but there are also days on T side, like today, where it just seems off. There are different ideas that people are doing constantly.
What's the mood like in the team after underperforming for a little while now?
The mood isn't great of course. We're adding pressure to ourselves constantly by having high hopes, so maybe it's time to go back to the ground and take it one game at a time, and not focusing on the trophies so much.
