The event will begin with a 16-team online group stage.

Teams and Format

BLAST Open London will begin with a 16-team online group stage, set to be played from August 27-September 1. The teams have been put into two groups, with three playoff spots up for grabs in each.

This means six teams will qualify for the playoffs, which will be played in London's OVO Arena Wembley from September 5-7 and award a prize pool of $330,000, bringing the event total to $400,000.

The six-team LAN finals will award the lion's share of BLAST Open London's prize pool with $330,000 up for grabs, with the online group stage set to push that total to $400,000.

Fantasy

HLTV and Skin.Club are partnering to run a season Fantasy game for the online stage of the tournament, with a game for the LAN Finals set to follow. The prizes for the first game are as follows:

3rd - M4A1-S | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested)

they have also "fixed it" for next year (it's better, but still not perfect x.com/JesperLarsen222/status/19437978025.. [note, the problem the jesper mentions about bounty having lower impact due to it being a group stage which has LAN spots as prize pool has also been "fixed" in the VRS with a recent update it still doesn't have amazing event weight but it has much better event weight]
