BLAST Open London 2025G2 ease past FlyQuest in BLAST Open London
The European combine have a shot at the LAN finals following their demolition of FlyQuest.
G2 have cruised into the lower bracket final in BLAST Open London thanks to a crushing 2-0 win over FlyQuest, getting the job done with wins on Mirage (13-4) and Ancient (13-6).
There is one more game stood between G2 and a spot at the LAN finals in London, with Spirit awaiting in the lower bracket final.

G2 were comfortably the better team across this series as FlyQuest turned in a limp performance, the Australians starting woefully on Mirage's T side despite finding multiple opening kills.
A short resurgence thanks to some fast executes was not enough for FlyQuest as they were quickly put to bed by G2's up-tempo attack.
G2 continued to dominate on Ancient, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa repeatedly taking advantage of FlyQuest's tame attempts at Mid control to secure an 8-4 lead for his team.
FlyQuest won the pistol and converted on their own offense to give themselves hope, but an embarrassing loss to upgraded pistols doomed the Aussie squad to elimination.
SunPayus posts best map since joining G2
A bright spot for G2 will be the performance of Álvaro "SunPayus" García, who has followed up a solid showing against MOUZ with his best map in a G2 jersey.
The Spaniard has struggled to string together good performances since his arrival in G2, so posting a 2.16-rated map after offering the stiffest resistance amongst his team against MOUZ is a promising sign.
One step forward, two steps back for FlyQuest
It felt like FlyQuest had been moving in the right direction in recent times, having run Aurora close on Inferno back at BLAST Bounty and beaten a Legacy squad in the ascendancy here in BLAST Open London.
Any forward progress was absent against G2 as FlyQuest looked lost for much of this series. They found many openings on Mirage but collapsed in mid-round situations, and struggled to muster basic Mid control on the CT-side of Ancient.
