M80 secure BLAST London quarter-final berth over fnatic
A 2-0 sweep earned the North American team an appearance at the Wembley Arena.

M80 are through to the playoffs of BLAST Open London after sweeping fnatic in Group A's lower bracket final, making good on their prior wins over Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere to earn a place in the offline quarter-finals.
It will be the first top international LAN for the North American side after they replaced Ethan "reck" Serrano with Jadan "HexT" Postma in July, and the first in a big arena for the roster as a whole.
fnatic couldn't build on the success of their title victory at DraculaN Season 1 on Sunday and miss out on a home arena appearance for the organization and for Cai "CYPHER" Watson, with several lost advantages and poor coordination repeatedly coming back to bite them throughout the series.

M80 won both pistols on Ancient but failed to convert against the second-round force buys, which fnatic used to win four rounds in a row in the first half and three in the second.
However, those were the only moments where Rodion "fear" Smyk's troops had any semblance of control on a map that was otherwise dominated by excellence from M80 in the late round.
Mason "Lake" Sanderson and Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich combined to pull back several multi-man disadvantages in the first half, and the German sniper continued tallying numbers alongside Michael "Swisher" Schmid after the swap as M80 sang their way to victory.
CYPHER and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer helped fnatic get off to another early lead on Train, and they were up 4-2 before losing to a pistols push into Brown Halls by M80. That, and multi-fragging from Lake and HexT, let M80 storm to an 8-4 lead at halftime, and that was quickly extended to 11-6 after they recovered from losing the pistol and conversion in the second half by winning a 3v4 and 1v3.
blameF found timely flanks and substantial impact as fnatic fought back on the defense and forced overtime, but that effort was all for naught as M80 stabilized again, disrupting and cleaning up fnatic's haphazard executes to get the game over the line.
