KSCERATO: "I want to play Vitality in the grand final because six years ago, we lost to them in ECS London in the final"
KSCERATO hopes FURIA can leverage their recent uptick into the organization's first Big Event trophy.

Ever since FURIA brought in Danil "molodoy" Golubenko and Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis last season, the team has looked reinvigorated under the new international setup.
They're about to make their fourth deep run in as many months at BLAST Open London, where wins over Spirit and MOUZ in the online group stage helped propel the Brazilian side to fifth place on the Global VRS.
Ahead of FURIA's campaign in London, which will start with a matchup against G2, Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato spoke to HLTV about the team's recent uptick and hopes of bringing the organization its first Big Event trophy.

"When we play, it's the same thing as when Vitality won seven events in a row. They won some rounds they should not win, they are all [having impact]," he said. "I think we have this now, we are understanding the game and communicating very well."
"We're in a good spot. Semi-final already, we can watch how the teams are playing, we have more time to prepare ourselves as well," KSCERATO said of the team's chances in London, where they're looking to reach only their second final since ECS Season 6 Finals, which took place in the same Wembley Arena.
"I want to play Vitality in the grand final because six years ago, we lost to them in ECS London in the final. It's revenge, London, same arena, same hotel, everything."
You can watch the interview or read the transcript in full below:
How does it feel to crack the top five in VRS? Do you feel like a top five team now?
Yeah, we are improving a lot in the last three months of the team. We have to keep going to reach the top one.
I was speaking to karrigan earlier and he was saying you were one of the dark horses to win the Major, even. How does it feel to be improving so quickly?
We are working a lot on how we can help each other, how the communication is so important. I think it's the basic stuff, that can help a lot.
A few months ago, you said it was easier to communication in English sometimes. Can you expand on that all?
As you can see after the rounds, when they make highlights of communication live, you can see how clean it is. 'One headshot, survived.' In Portuguese, bro, that would be a mess. 'Deu hs, deu hs, Sobrevivi, sobrevivi.' Nobody says survived in Portugese. It's so crazy in Portuguese. I can't even explain to you guys what happens there.
I want to talk about molodoy a bit as well. A few months in, a lot of AWPers would struggle a bit now people know how he rotates and things. How come he's able to stay ahead of all of that?
He's still young. So it's easy to figure out how he can impact the game, the kid is killing it. He's doing some good rounds. I'm happy for him, he's going to be an amazing player, a GOAT.

How much do you think the team will be affected by the arena? molodoy had his Astana debut, of course [and the Major].
Everything depends on the players, how life is going, it's not a simple question with a simple answer. We are working on this, mentality is the most important thing when you play in arenas. We are ready, we are doing a good job. For one month we were playing online, it was good for us to reset. We are confident and we are ready.
On your own form, you were at your best in this group stage, how are you feeling individually?
I'm feeling good. I think I found myself. I think I make good decisions in-game. Sometimes not so good, sometimes it's good but that's the life of the competition. I just need to keep growing, doing my stuff, be comfortable with the setup and what's new because every tournament is new stuff, new monitor, new PC.
We see this thing with lurkers where sometimes when the team isn't playing as well, it looks like it's lower impact, right? How much of a difference is it when the team is functioning better and you're not in 2v4s all the time. Do you feel like you can have more impact?
Yeah, I think everyone is doing a good job overall, showing up overall. During the rounds, in the clutch. molodoy is doing really well, yuurih winning some clutches for us as well. When we play, it's the same thing when Vitality won seven events in a row, they won some rounds they should not win. But they are impacting, everyone, flameZ, mezii, all the stuff. I think we have this now, we are understanding the game and communicating very well.
How important is YEKINDAR to that, with all his knowledge of the game?
He's impacted our communication and organization a lot, during the round. The spots he plays, it's really important to communicate and he's really good. He has good English, he speaks Russian to molodoy during the game so he will understand me. On CT side he has good impact, and T side he's [running in first] and all this stuff.
How different is he to the chelo and arT style of aggressive rifling? How does it impact your game, is it in a different way to the Brazilian spacetakers?
chelo was more aggressive. I feel the difference between chelo and YEKINDAR is that YEKINDAR can see when it's not doing well, and can say 'let's change' in the middle of the round. That's the biggest difference.

You've not played Overpass yet, is that hiding ready for playoffs?
Who knows, bro [smiles].
You've flirted with Ancient too, the seven map pool. Can you say anything about that?
Who knows, bro [laughs].
Okay, keeping your cards close to your chest. Going back to playoffs, with some of the teams that aren't here, it feels like one of your best shots at an elusive Big Event trophy. Do you feel like one of the favorites?
We are in a good spot. Semi-final already, it's good, we can watch how the teams are playing, we have more time to prepare ourselves as well.
I want to play Vitality in the grand final because six years ago, we lost to them in ECS London in the final. It's revenge, London, same arena, same hotel, everything.
How much have you dreamed of that Big Event title? You won Elisa, a few online events, but does now feel like the time that FURIA are going to win trophies?
Yeah. This team, we can reach the top.
