Liquid, NIP, fnatic among teams to compete at Birch Cup 2025 LAN in Poland

The $15,000 tournament will take place in Gdansk, Poland.

The Birch Cup organizers have announced the 24 teams that will play in the $15,000 LAN in Gdansk.

Some notable teams such as ENCE, Ninjas in Pyjamas, fnatic, and Liquid will be present, as well as the last-minute addition of Gentle Mates, who take the spot of OG.

The tournament in Gdansk will take place on September 26-28, with $8,000 alloted to the winning team, $3,200 to the runner up, $1,700 to third place, $1,000 to fourth, and $275 to those in 5-8th place.

this is actually a very big win of this VRS system, I would never expect this, but it made tier 2-3 alive, it also brought a lot of fresh air that will fortunately keep cheaters away - they don't like spotlights and offline tournaments

Maybe yes, it would be bad image if such glorious event moves location and 1st year of new location big names are missing. It won't ruin the event because Poland crowd is normally really good and I think Krakow with bigger arena will be even better but it will take away some 'novelty'?

They have 0 chances of making it to major. So they are keeping their pool of LAN games (you only get points for your best 10 LAN games and later games only refresh it) somewhat clean for a meteoric rise next season. Prize money would have helped them though. Or they are on the verge of buying a much higher rated core
