FISSURE Playground 2G2 book Belgrade Arena ticket over GL
A third successive loss on Overpass did not cost the BLAST London champions in Serbia.
G2 have made it to the playoffs of FISSURE Playground 2 after battling past GamerLegion 2-1.
A slow start saw Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač's troops lose Overpass 13-5, a loss that took G2's record 0-3 on the map, but Ancient and Inferno were far more comfortable playgrounds for the world number five.
Matúš "MATYS" Šimko recorded his best-ever Big Event map on Ancient, in a 20-frag performance as G2 stormed to a 13-2 win, and the Slovakian was top of the board on Inferno too with a 1.59 rating.

Eetu "sAw" Saha has admitted that "energy levels are a bit lower" in Belgrade after travelling straight to the event after BLAST Open, and it is fair to say that G2 are not quite at the same level they showed last week.
But their quality did shine through in the end, despite post-plants and anti-forces going against them more than any coach would like overall.
G2 fall to 0-3 record on Overpass
GamerLegion started the series with a clear gameplan on Overpass, racing to an 8-4 T side lead on what we know is one of Ashley "ash" Battye's favorite maps.
They were helped by a Sebastian "Tauson" Tauson Lindelof 1v3 later in the half but the tone had already been set, with G2 struggling to get a hold on a map that was huNter-'s permaban for so much of his career.

"Not much experience ," huNter- said, when Anastasija "Heccu" Tolmačeva asked about why G2 are struggling on the map. "We are working on it hard. Winning today means we have more time to prepare."
He's only played 30 Overpass maps in his entire career, making the map a uniquely difficult challenge as huNter- enters in-game leadership, but a solution will need to be found before it becomes a real problem for G2.
