Astralis eliminate Legacy from FPG2

The Danes are one series away from making the playoffs in their debut with Magisk.

Astralis ended Legacy's FISSURE Playground 2 campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory, dominating the middle stages of Mirage (13-8) and the second half of Nuke (13-8).

Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz and Victor "⁠Staehr⁠" Staehr were at the forefront of that effort, the former tallying six multi-kills and +10.85% Round Swing on Mirage and the latter leading Astralis' lockout defense on Nuke (167.9 ADR, +14.85% Round Swing, 2.30 CT rating) as Legacy were sent packing from the tournament.

"It feels a lot better than yesterday," device said in a post-match interview on the broadcast. We knew we had some things to improve. We still have a chance for the playoffs, and that's what the focus is on right now."

A loss to a force-buy set Astralis back at the start of Mirage, with Guilherme "⁠saadzin⁠" Pacheco finding impact in Middle to power Legacy to a 5-2 start. The Brazilian's efforts weren't enough down the line, though, with Eduardo "⁠dumau⁠" Wolkmer shut down in his opening attempts and device coming alive on the offense.

Astralis went on a 10-round streak, initially thanks to Rasmus "⁠HooXi⁠" Nielsen and Staehr's multi-fragging before device took over, and entries from Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard had the Danes up 12-5 before they closed out not long after.

Lucas "⁠lux⁠" Meneghini made up for a miserable performance on map one as he combined with Bruno "⁠latto⁠" Rebelatto in the first half of Nuke, shutting down Astralis' Outside control and A executes after a brief battle to set Legacy ahead 8-4.

An immaculate defense, led by Staehr and jabbi, turned that scoreline on its head as Astralis went on another lockout run on the defense, and this time they didn't let anything slip, winning nine straight to close out the series.
