Nivera to stand in for Maka for start of EPL S22

3DMAX's sniper will miss the team's opening matches in Sweden due to his brother's wedding.

3DMAX will begin their ESL Pro League Season 22 Stage 1 campaign with Nabil "⁠Nivera⁠" Benrlitom as a stand-in for Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda, who will be absent for the opening matches due to his brother's wedding.

The 28-year-old sniper recently relinquished in-game leadership duties to Filip "⁠Graviti⁠" Brankovic, softening the impact of his temporary absence in Stockholm.

It will be Nivera's second career international LAN appearance, after Skyesports Championship 2024, and his first as a part of a top 20 team. The Belgian has averaged a 1.14 rating in 2025 and been without a team since FUT signed the ex-NAVI Junior lineup in August, with his last official dating back to May while still under the teamless Mousquetaires tag.

3DMAX are not at risk of losing their StarLadder Budapest Major invite slot, something which could have been a concern as Stage 1 of Pro League will be factored into the October 6 VRS ranking, and are almost guaranteed their Stage 2 invite to the Major as well.

They will kick off their Swiss group stage run in Sweden against TNL, with the announcement alluding to the possibility of Maka returning later in the event if 3DMAX stay alive.
